Terms and Conditions

By booking and attending a massage therapy session with R.A.W Bodywork & Movement, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

1. Acknowledgment of Health Status

   • I acknowledge that massage therapy provided by R.A.W Bodywork & Movement  is not a substitute for medical care or treatment. The therapist is not a licensed medical provider and will not diagnose, treat, or prescribe for any medical conditions.

   • It is my responsibility to inform the massage therapist of any health conditions, injuries, or changes to my health status, including any medications I may be taking, that could affect my ability to receive massage therapy.

   • I understand that I should not receive massage therapy if I have any health conditions or concerns that may put my well-being at risk unless approved by my physician.

2. Consent for Treatment

   • I consent to receive massage therapy, and I acknowledge that the therapist will use their professional judgment to provide appropriate treatment.

   • I understand that the therapist may modify or discontinue the session at any time if they believe my health or safety is at risk. I also acknowledge that if I have not disclosed relevant health information, it is my responsibility to inform the therapist before the session begins.

3. Client Responsibility

   • I agree to disclose any changes in my health or medical conditions that may affect my massage therapy. This includes new injuries, surgeries, medical diagnoses, or any other factors that could impact the safety or effectiveness of the treatment.

   • I understand that if I do not inform the therapist of relevant health information, I do so at my own risk.

4. Professional Conduct and Session Termination

   • All massage sessions are strictly professional. I agree to maintain appropriate behavior and conduct throughout the session.

   • I acknowledge that the therapist has the right to terminate the session at any time if they feel uncomfortable or if my behavior is deemed inappropriate. This may include physical, verbal, or non-verbal behavior that makes the therapist feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

5.  Cancellation and No-Show Policy*

   • I understand that R.A.W Bodywork & Movement requires 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to provide adequate notice or failure to attend the scheduled session may result in a cancellation fee.

6. Liability 

   • I release and hold harmless R.A.W Bodywork & Movement, its employees, and its agents from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action arising from my participation in massage therapy services, except those arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality

   • I understand that all personal and medical information will be kept confidential and will not be shared without my consent unless required by law. This includes any information provided on intake forms or discussed during the session.

8. Consent and Acknowledgment

   • I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to the above terms and conditions. I consent to receive massage therapy under these terms and conditions, and I understand my rights and responsibilities.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We understand that life happens, and sometimes plans change. However, due to the nature of our business and the time dedicated to each client, we ask for your cooperation in adhering to our cancellation and no-show policy:

1. 24-Hour Notice Requirement

   • We kindly request that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to accommodate other clients and ensure that our therapist’s time is used efficiently.

2. Late Cancellation Fee

   • If you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, you will be charged a $30 late cancellation fee. This fee helps compensate for the time reserved exclusively for you.

3. No-Show / No-Call Fee

   • If you fail to show up for your appointment and do not provide any notice (a "no-show, no-call"), you will be charged the full amount of the scheduled service. We regret that we cannot offer a refund or reschedule in this case.

4. Exceptions

   • We understand that emergencies or unexpected situations may arise. If you believe you have a valid reason for canceling late or not showing up, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

5. By Booking an Appointment

   • By booking an appointment, you agree to this cancellation and no-show policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a high level of service for all of our clients.
